Dan Wilson

For our last show JOAN, we introduced a new feature on our website called “Starring”. In it we focused on a different cast member each week or so, giving a bit of their background and performance history. We received a lot of positive feedback on that feature so we tweaked it a bit, changed the title of the feature to “ Meet Our Cast” and will be doing it again for our upcoming show, RUMPELSTILTSKIN, opening Friday, October 19th.

What better way to begin than with the actor playing the title character in the show, Dan Wilson?

This is Dan’s 4th show with The Sigman Brothers. Previously, he played Jacques in JOAN, Schechter in ETUDE, and then the King in our restaging of JOAN earlier this year. Dan appeared recently as King Triton in the Buffalo Grove Park District production of The Little Mermaid.

Dan is a classically trained lyric baritone from Zionsville, IN. His off-stage activities include carpentry, audio recording, directing, and teaching. His wonderful baritone voice compliments a powerful stage presence and an engaging and energetic acting style.

Dan has become a staple member of The Sigman Brothers production team, assisting with set design and construction as well as running the lights and sound for other productions at Pheasant Run Theater, in addition to all the roles he has created.  He is a joy to work with.

Rumpelstiltskin may just well be Dan’s greatest challenge as a performer yet!
